From TPRNews: Medical helicopters landed on U.S. Highway 90 east of Knippa, Texas, after numerous undocumented immigrants were injured inside of a train car, Uvalde police said.
Authorities reported the discovery of numerous undocumented immigrants inside a train car about 20 miles east of Uvalde on Friday.
However, in an interview with TPR, Don McLaughlin, the mayor of Uvalde, reported at least two deaths among the 12 people found. At least five people were transported to San Antonio hospitals. Uvalde police notified Border Patrol, which inspected the train and found the migrants locked inside. Homeland Security Investigations said it was investigating the possibility of human smuggling but wouldn't provide any more details.
