Police have launched a manhunt after pro-Palestinian activists smashed windows and tried to set fire to Labor MP Josh Burns’ office.

Mr Burns has held the seat of Macnamara since 2019, representing the heart of Melbourne’s Jewish community. “This is a dangerous escalation of people trying to bring a conflict on the other side of the world to our streets and it needs to end, it needs to stop, because it’s dangerous,” he said.
