Qantas Chief Executive Alan Joyce announced his shock early exit from the airline on Tuesday morning. After 15 years in the top job and 23 years at the airline, he's stepping down two months earlier than planned and will hand the reins over to Vanessa Hudson. In a statement, Mr Joyce said, 'In the last few weeks, the focus on Qantas and events of the past make it clear to me that the company needs to move ahead with its renewal as a priority.' Ms Hudson starts as CEO on Wednesday.
