Venezuela's chief prosecutor Tarek Saab has accused a US citizen recently arrested in the Caribbean nation of spying and planning sabotage.He's been accused of plotting attacks against Venezuela's oil industry and electricity systemMr Saab said the US citizen, Matthew John Heath, was plotting attacks against Venezuela's oil industry and electricity system.

He added that Mr Heath had Central Intelligence Agency ties and help from three Venezuelan conspirators, who were arrested with him last week near oil refineries on the north Caribbean coast. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro last week announced an unnamed US citizen was arrested while allegedly spying on the country's Amuay and Cardon refineries in western Falcon state, while carrying "specialised weapons" and large amounts of cash.
