Premier Mark McGowan has strongly condemned recent anti-vax protests in Western Australia and declared they were “verging on urban terrorism”.

The McGowan Government’s wide-ranging vaccine mandate has begun to kick up a gear, but has also recently been met with severe backlash across the state.

“It’s demented it’s deranged, it’s outrageous, it’s selfish. I just urge these people to stop harassing kids at their schools or shopping centres. It’s not the Australian way. Most of the industries will need their workers to have received at least one dose by the end of the year in a bid to boost the state’s lagging vaccination rate.

The Premier urged the Prime Minister to “get on the same page” and push Australians to get vaccinated.
