As the runway show progressed, there were still no signs of Lopez, except for when her 1999 single "Waiting For Tonight" started pumping through the speakers of the Palazzo delle Scintille. Amber Valletta was the last model on the catwalk, foreshadowing what would come next. The venue's lights went dark and surrounding the room were projections of a short film from Google, displaying search image results of Lopez from nearly two decades ago.
Aside from J.Lo's surprise runway appearance, Versace presented a cool-girl collection for work and play, comprised of strong-shouldered jackets, button-downs and little black dresses accented with the luxury brand's signature gold hardware. The offerings then took on a more casual-but-polished approach with denim, tie-dye and remixed versions of the historic "jungle dress" print in its classic green colorway and a new, punchy combo of pink, red and orange.
