Victoria’s COVID-19 Response Commander Jeroen Weimar says there is a “very strong” concentration of new COVID cases in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
“Of the 183 today, 94 of those are in the northern suburbs, of which 53 are in the Hume LGA and 17 in Moreland,” he said.There were also 50 new cases in the western suburbs, including 21 in Wyndham and 11 cases in the south-east, including four in Casey and three in Kingston.
“We have nine cases in our inner-city area … so eight in the Melbourne CBD and one case in the City of Yarra,” he said.“There are also six cases in Shepparton and finally we have one case in Wodonga.”
