A mural commissioned by Metro for the Purple Line station being built on the Department of Veterans Affairs' West Los Angeles campus has aroused the ire of veterans groups.

A lawsuit filed on behalf of homeless veterans demands that Veterans Affairs provide more permanent housing in and around its West L.A. campus.called by the Los Angeles County Military and Veterans Affairs Commission to air complaints.

Officials in Metro’s art program said they will make a strong case that they have engaged veterans in planning for the station.
