The Victorian Liberals have vowed to liaise with Indigenous groups about the construction of a new health precinct in Melbourne's east if elected to government in November.
Opposition Leader Matthew Guy told Sky News Australia he would consult with Indigenous leaders and groups within his first 100 days in office, to come up with a name for a hospital the party has promised to build at Wantirna.
The Andrews government has been in discussions with Knox City Council about building a similar precinct for four years without an official commitment.Matthew Guy said the new hospital should be given an Indigenous name. “It’s a respectful and sensible way to set something in stone.
