Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison is taking part in E4's latest reality show with Amber Rose Gill, Pete Wicks and Nick Grimshaw - and admits she feels like an underdog
Reality TV’s biggest names are becoming puppet-master producers for E4’s newest show, with Geordie Shore ’s Vicky Pattison, Love Island ’s Amber Rose Gill and TOWIE’s Pete Wicks going behind the camera for The Underdog: Josh Must Win. Teaming up with reality TV lover and presenter Nick Grimshaw, the group watch as a line-up of confident contestants compete in a popularity contest for a fake show called The Favourite.
As for why she signed up to the show, Vicky says that she could relate to Josh. “I think I’m a bit of an underdog - nobody really liked me when I was on the telly. I went on I’m a Celeb and I’ve been told that everybody wanted me out,” she laughs. “I don’t know what they thought I was going to do - punch a kangaroo and slut drop with Ant and Dec?”
“In reality TV, you don’t get to see the real authentic people anymore because a lot of people are trying to be something they’ve seen before. Here, you’ve got someone who basically is just himself and that’s a really beautiful thing.” “At the end, we all had separation anxiety from sitting in this Truman Show-style room together and staying in the same hotel to living our separate lives.”
