Victoria and NSW have recorded a record drop in Covid cases, as the new Omicron variant continues to spread throughout both states.
NSW recorded 485 new cases on Sunday and two deaths, with 156 people in hospital and 23 people in ICU.In Victoria, 1069 people tested positive and two people died, down from 1193 cases on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Queensland authorities have repeated their call for people to get tested after a woman spent a number of days in the community while infectious.It comes as the Queensland is set to finally reopen its border to NSW, Victoria and the ACT on Monday.
