Victorian health authorities have announced the measures which will be lifted in a change to the state's pandemic orders - but some restrictions will remain.
Health authorities announced on Saturday the updated measures will take effect from 11:59pm on Friday, June 24.
"Masks must still be worn on public transport, taxis, ride shares, and planes – but in line with the recent AHPPC statement, will no longer be required at airports," the statement said. Tweaks will also be made to the isolation period for COVID-positive individuals, allowing them to leave home under certain circumstances.
"In line with other jurisdictions around Australia, vaccination policies will be the responsibility of individual workplaces.""To continue to protect the most vulnerable through winter, workers who interact with a vulnerable person will still require three COVID-19 vaccine doses," the statement said.
