Victoria police say Australia’s “extremely competitive” labour market is making it difficult to recruit new officers.
In the coming months a new recruitment drive will begin, which will aim to put 502 new officers onto the street within the
next two years after the number of new recruits applying to the Victoria Police Academy dipped below levels seen in previous years.
