People entering Western Australia from Victoria have been told they need to quarantine for 14 days, as a result of a flare-up in COVID-19 cases.
Anyone arriving into WA from Victoria will need to self-quarantine for 14 days and be tested on arrival, following an immediate change in health advice.
Jurisdictions considered low-risk are permitted to enter Western Australia without an exemption but are subject to strict conditions including COVID-19 testing and self-quarantine. In addition, anyone who was at any exposure site in Victoria and has since travelled to Western Australia is required to get tested immediately and self-quarantine for 14 days from the date of exposure.
"Western Australia has always taken an extra cautious approach to its border controls and this has proven effective in keeping WA safe from COVID-19," he said in a statement.
