Farmers and landowners in western Victoria are up in arms about Labor’s plan for new transmission lines connecting new wind and solar projects into the grid. “If the project goes ahead, it’s not a question of if we have these fire risks and the impacts, it’ll be a matter of when,” Mr Watts told Sky News host Peta Credlin.“And all the volunteers up there, we’ve been told ‘you don’t go near the transmission lines’.”
