Anthony Albanese and Premier Jacinta Allan had their speeches delayed as protesters were ushered out of the Moonee Valley Racecourse by police.
Pro-Palestinian protesters have barged into a conference for the Victorian Labor Party, attended by the Prime Minister.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators have stormed a Labor Party conference in Melbourne where Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is in attendance. The protesters later left the building but some state and federal MPs were locked outside as the crowd chanted and yelled abuse at them.During her speech, Ms Allan announced new legislation to introduce stronger protections against abuse for workers in retail, fast food and public transport roles.
The crowd chanted and yelled expletives about the Labor Party, while attendees were hounded by protesters as they attempted to enter the building.A statement from Trade Unionists for Palestine said it had support from numerous unions for the demonstration, as well as other pro-Palestinian groups such as Mums for Palestine.
It is also calling for a humanitarian ceasefire and humanitarian aid to be delivered to the people of Gaza.
