Victorian Greens leader Ellen Sandell has declared Prahran MP Sam Hibbins will never be allowed back into the party room after he quit the Greens after admitting to an affair.

The state Greens leader said she was"angry" at Mr Hibbins, who had"completely lost my trust and the trust of all of his Greens colleagues". "He has since resigned from the Greens party room. Mr Hibbins will now sit as an independent, reducing the number of Greens politicians in the Legislative Assembly from four to three, with Ms Sandell adamant:"The Member for Prahran will never be welcome back in our party room".
