While new cases remained below 100 for the past few days, experts indicated reducing daily infections below 50 could prove more difficult than the initial transition from triple to double-digit figures. Across the nation, total fatalities rose to 781 and 29 people were receiving intensive care in hospital. The Northern Territory, South Australia, the ACT and Tasmania currently have zero active cases.

It’s a concrete jungle and we’re paying the price.\n\n“We preserve and reserve the koala population in New South wales, we don’t need to be told what we can do with our own land.”\n\n
