The number of lives lost on Victoria's roads this year has risen to 21, after crashes across Melbourne and regional Victoria claimed three lives.

In Melbourne's north-east, a female passenger died after the car she was travelling in struck a tree at Park Orchards just after 2:30pm. Police said three other males in the car, including the driver, were injured and officers were still determining the cause of the crash.In northern Victoria, a driver was killed in another single-car crash with a tree at Mitchell Road in Kialla around 1:50pm.In Victoria's south-west, a man driving a vehicle along Timboon-Port Campbell Road rolled just before 3:30pm.
The deaths take the total number of lives lost on the road to 21, compared to 18 at the same time last year.
