The Pro BFG is quite a sight to behold. It’s not as easy on the eyes as Sony’s DualSense, but it offers far more features that serious gamers will likely enjoy tinkering with.controller to the quarter-circle punch. PDP’s Victrix sub-brand announced the Pro BFG, a wireless PS5, PS4, and PC controller aimed at fighting game enthusiasts and officially licensed by Sony. The Pro BFG delivers more than just swappable analog sticks and directional pads.
This exploded view of the Pro BFG illustrates how its modular components can be swapped. The sticks and D-pads can simply be pulled off and replaced with the ones you want to use.The customization goes further, with a total of three D-pads , and two extra analog sticks .
The Pro BFG is wireless, though it supports wired mode via its USB-C port. Like the DualSense, it can deliver audio through its 3.5mm headphone jack. Unlike Sony’s controller, it doesn’t have rumble or adaptive triggers, though it has other functions that help to justify its higher price. The throw distance of its triggers can be customized with a switch, giving you the option to simply tap them to register instead of fully pulling them down.
This controller will be out by the end of 2022, giving gamers plenty of time to get comfortable with it ahead of ’s release next year. I’m not a competitive fighting game player, but even I’m looking forward to testing this out soon.
