Video from the officers’ body-worn cameras shows what appeared to be a party in the parking lot, with music playing and several people hanging out around a tent. Several rounds of gunfire are heard, and Doddy collapses in front of a car — his yellow sweatshirt quickly soaked in blood. The video shows a handgun lying feet away from Doddy.After one man holding a cane says he was wounded in the leg, the officer hands a tourniquet to a bystander and tells him to apply it to the man’s leg. That man was later treated and released from a hospital.
A total of 15 shots were fired by police — 11 from one officer and four from the other, García said. But he declined to say how many of those 15 shots hit Doddy. Asked why not, García simply responded: “Because I’m not going to say that right now.”

Dallas Police release video from Metropolitan Avenue shooting - KRLD NewsDallas Police have released body camera video of an officer-involved shooting Sunday evening near Fair Park. Police were called to reports of a fight on Metropolitan Avenue near Highway 352. Chief Eddie Garcia says officers arrived and recognized the suspect, Donathy Doddy. He says they had previous encounters with him. 'Officers gave the suspect loud, verbal commands to get his hands off the gun,' Garcia says. 'Doddy then ran toward the officers, firing his weapon at least two times as he ran in the officers' direction.'
