A Lancaster County woman accused of causing a deadly crash has waived her preliminary hearing. The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office released a statement about the case against Kendra Sakoian, 32, of Ephrata. Sakoian is charged with homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, and failing to stop in the February 2023 crash that involved her Chrysler 300, a Peterbilt box truck and a pickup truck. The crash happened Feb. 2 around 11:40 a.m.
'Video obtained from the box truck showed Sakoian failing to stop at a stop sign as she approached North Railroad Avenue traveling west on Gristmill Road,' a statement from the district attorney's office said. 'As Sakoian proceeded into the intersection she struck the victim’s pickup truck, causing it to turn clockwise into the south bound lane of Railroad Avenue. The box truck then collided with the driver’s door area of the pickup truck.
