A driver has been caught reaching speeds of more than 150 kilometres per hour on a busy Canberra road in the middle of the day with a blood-alcohol reading more than four times the legal limit.
They estimate he overtook their unmarked police car and reached a speed of more than 150kph before being stopped. When the 44-year-old driver from Jerrabomberra, in New South Wales, was pulled over, officers conduced a breath test and it indicated he was drunk.
