🇬🇧 A video has circulated in India alongside a claim it shows a Hindu mob attacking a man who vandalised a temple in Birmingham, the UK's second largest city. This is false. It actually shows a protest against the Iranian regime in London
on October 11, 2022.
Its Hindi-language caption reads:"Mohammed Rizwan, the man who attacked a Hindu temple in England’s Birmingham, was being taken to the court from the police station. The Hindus somehow got the information...what happened next can be seen below.The two-minute 18-second video shows police escorting a man away from a crowd of people who are kicking and throwing objects at him.
The situation appears to escalate as the crowd surrounds a police van and pelts it with bottles before the vehicle speeds off.
