Earlier this month the 77-year-old led his team through the jungle to a mass grave containing 20 bodies, which was a result of his determined spirit and "personal collection of war photographs"."I'm happy that we've found them and be able to give them back to Vietnam and their relatives." Between May 12 and June 6, 1968, 25 Australians and about 300 North Vietnamese were killed in action.
Over the past five years, Mr Bryant has devoted his life and his life savings to this discovery mission, working alongside the Vietnamese to bring their fallen men home."They refer to them as martyrs for the sacrifice they made to their country."
