Viewers of BBC Strictly Come Dancing were left distracted after they all noticed the same thing during Saturday night's show. Next weekend, couples head to Blackpool Tower Ballroom for a live show .
The programme has been visiting Blackpool since the very first series in 2004. Viewers watching this week's show at home were quick to point out they did not need reminding of this fact after several references were made by presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the judges and dancers. Some took to social media to joke about it - with one suggesting a counter be added to the screen. @97_Hayden posted on X, formerly Twitter: "There should be an on-screen counter of the number of times they say Blackpool."
@AlexPaterson0 posted: "We know it's Blackpool week, next weekend, we don't need to be reminded every few minutes" while @gudrun25086 made the comment: "So can we guess where the show will be next week?" The eight couples still in the contest are Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe, Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington, Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Krishnan Guru-Murphy and Lauren Oakley, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and Nigel Harman and Katya Jones. This week's results show will take place on Sunday at 7.20pm.
