Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has an interesting explanation for his 140-mph ride.

The citation also noted that a Minnesota State Patrol officer had seen the rookie receiver driving at an “extremely high rate of speed” eastbound on I-94 at 3 a.m. Addison appeared to slow down when he saw the lights of another state patrol officer who had been pulled over on the side of the road, according to ESPN.
Records show that he was cited for “consciously disregarding a substantial or unjustifiable risk,” according to theVikings receiver Jordan Addison received a citation for driving 140 mph, claiming his dog was having an emergency as the reason for his speed.Addison had been driving a Lamborghini Urus with dealer license plates at the time he was stopped.
The rookie issued an apology on Friday for his actions, but the statement made no mention of the dog. “Yesterday morning I made a mistake and used poor judgment,” Addison said in his statement. “I recognize and own that. I am going to learn from this and not repeat the behavior. I am truly sorry.”Addison was selected with the No. 23rd overall pick by the Vikings in April’s NFL draft.The 21-year-old receiver is expected to play a significant role for the Vikings this season after sitting out some of the offseason program due to an undisclosed injury.
