Think classic Windsor chairs, but with built in door stops on the bottom. Or a white, numberless clock with a face that says “TEMPORARY.” A doormat, made of green turf, reads “WET GRASS,” and a toolbox reads “HOMEWORK” . A mirror looks like a mirror, until you notice a small, intentional crack in the corner.

His wall art, a light-up Mona Lisa, plays with the idea of accessibility and art: while Da Vinci’s version is shielded behind glass at the Louvre, priceless, you can get Abloh’s for $99. Abloh also riffs on the behemoth Swedish furniture-maker itself. His rug, designed to look like an IKEA receipt, makes the once-throwaway item one of permanence.
