Mum Aysa and her three 18-month-old cubs are settling in well after being saved from the war torn country
Half term visitors to the award winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park will be among the first to see the family of lions rescued from Russia's bombing in the Ukraine enjoying life in their new reserve.
Now, that has all changed. After travelling 2,000 miles across Europe the lions settled into their new Yorkshire home quickly and mum Aysa was reunited with her cubs. "Mum Aysa and her cubs have all done so well with adjusting to their new home, I feel like a proud dad! It is wonderful to see them racing around the reserve enjoying their newfound freedom."
There are also the latest arrivals to see including Rocco, the boisterous black rhino calf and one of the rarest mammals on earth, as well as Auckley, the only surviving critically endangered Amur Leopard born in Europe last year.
