The festival planned for Saturday, June 25 has been canceled with ticket refunds expected to be issued in the coming weeks.
On June 3, the festival put out a statement via social media that the cancellation was due to “recent setbacks.” According to theAt a time when music festivals such as, Viva! L.A. was anticipated to be one of the most ambitious Latino music festivals of the summer.
The top of the bill had been scheduled to be led by Spanish-language superstars such as J Balvin, Kali Uchis, and Becky G. It was also slated to be one of Daddy Yankee’s last performances after announcing his retirement earlier this year. Other legendary Mexican acts, such as Paquita la del Barrio, Los Tucanes de Tijuana and El Fantasma, had also been scheduled to perform.
