One proposal is to make the full phrase “executive government of the Commonwealth”, to add specificity and clarity. The Coalition has been pushing Labor to answer 15 questions about the Voice, and Mr Dutton told members of the working group it was unreasonable to expect Australians to vote to establish a body they did not fully understand.
He said the Coalition believed the vote, expected sometime before the end of the year, was on track to be lost.In a communique issued after the meeting, the working group said it had agreed to meet Greens MPs and members of the Senate crossbench.
