Anthony Albanese has told the Garma Festival he will seek out every ally for constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
“There shall be a body, to be called the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.
The Parliament shall, subject to this Constitution, have power to make laws with respect to the composition, functions, powers and procedures of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.”“History is calling and has been calling for this referendum for years,” she said. The Voice will improve the lives of not just First Peoples, but for future generations and all Australians.
