ASPI Council member James Brown says there are voices in Australia and Beijing that will try to “exploit” the issue of US President Joe Biden cancelling his trip to Australia.
“To really try and enforce the message that the US just won’t show up when push comes to shove,” Mr Brown told Sky News Australia.
“And that is what is so disappointing about the cancellation of this visit by President Biden’s team.”
