Two Rural Fire Service depots have been ransacked with thieves taking 'whatever they could get their hands on', including a fire truck.

As bushfires rage across the state, several Queensland rural fire depots have been targeted by thieves, with one ransacked before a fire truck was stolen.Crews found the truck and with other equipment missing on Wednesday

Members of the Rural Fire Brigade at Plain Creek, south of Mackay, say the truck, fuel and other gear went missing from their depot on Wednesday. It's hard to miss but Plane Creek volunteer firefighters aren't confident they'll get their missing fire truck back."What will they pinch next, ambulances? It never ends."She asked people to look out for a yellow truck marked with "PLANE CREEK 51" and Rural Fire Service.

He said residents would be able to use other fire services, but this could add up to 30 minutes in an emergency, time that could make a critical difference.
