A pair of volunteers who helped search for a missing non-verbal 12-year-old who went missing in Western Sydney have spoken of their joy when the boy was finally found. On Tuesday Omar Slaimankhel and Ahmad Deeb appeared on Sunrise, the morning after Hussein Al Mansoory, who has Down syndrome and autism, was found in the stairwell of a medical centre in Auburn, following a frantic search.

Volunteers speak about search for missing boy Hussein Al Mansoory, 12, who was found at an Auburn medical centre. “Words can’t describe how happy we were to be quite honest,” Ahmad said. “I was saying to Omar, if this happened to one of ours, you would honestly want all of Sydney out there looking for him. So, it is just good news to hear that they found him safe.” The men searched from about 10.30pm to 1am, Sunday, then again from 7.30am on Monday.
