Comparing interiors of the new Ranger and new Amarok show a pair of cabins with several hard points in similar locations but a markedly different take on secondary controls. VW has a volume dial plus a row of toggle-style switches controlling hazard lights and parking tech at the base of its infotainment screen.
This seemingly works HVAC controls into part of the infotainment UX, a decision which wouldn’t fly in trucks being sold in North America.
