A woman in her 20s who has tested positive for COVID-19 in Western Australia was in quarantine for the entirety of her infectious period.

It brings the outbreak linked to the unvaccinated backpacker who arrived in Perth from Queensland to nine cases.

WA Premier Mark McGowan has revealed there is a large number of close and casual contacts who have so far failed to come forward for testing.
