Mitchell Thomson's grand gesture took some trial and error. It was just lucky he had a back-up paddock to work with.
What's next?In South Stirling, nestled near the base of the Stirling Range on Western Australia's south coast, farmer Mitchell Thomson wanted to do something massive to propose to his partner Sharnee Weaver.
"She said she wanted something romantic for a proposal so I was racking my brain as to what I could do and I wanted to do something on the farm.""Dad and I were on the computer for half a day trying to work out the scale," he said. The pair had to draw lines into the computer with plenty of trial and error before nailing the final design on the ground.
"The first paddock didn't work, the 'U' and the 'I' didn't come out properly so the second paddock was the back-up plan that luckily did work."Mr Thomson said it took some convincing to get Ms Weaver to come outside when he gathered some family to check out his new drone on Tuesday.
