It's estimated a regular commuter would save $625 a year under a single zone flat fare system.Labor has pledged to abolish the nine-zone transport system if re-elected and introduce a flat fare of $2.80 across the entire network.

She said cost blowouts under the current government have been "inflationary" at a time when Western Australians have been hit the hardest.
