A WA nurse who went to Melbourne to help with its COVID-19 outbreak tests positive after being sent to work in an aged care facility with five colleagues, the Australian Nursing Federation says.
A WA nurse who went to Melbourne to help with its coronavirus outbreak has been diagnosed with COVID-19, the Australian Nursing Federation has said.
"The nurses were told when they left Perth [that] were they to contract COVID-19 they'd be brought back to serve out their quarantine in WA." "Their families are concerned for them, they're on the other side of the country and they're not happy about the fact that the [WA] Government doesn't have any plans at this stage to get these nurses home," he said.The nurses had been sent to work in a Melbourne aged care facility.
