Those forced to isolate after being tested for COVID could become eligible for a new cash payment, the WA government says, as it tries to shore up the state's health system ahead of the border reopening.
A payment will be offered to people who have to isolate after being tested for COVID-19, the West Australian government has announced, as it works to prepare the state for the arrival of the virus.The health system will receive a $1.28 billion boostIn total $80 million has been set aside for the payments in today's mid-year review, although details of who will be eligible and how much they will receive are yet to be announced.
