NSW man Adrian Talbot disputes reports 500 horse carcasses were found on his property, saying the number was closer to 30 or 40, and the animals were humanely euthanased.

A council spokesperson today said it stood by its prior statement regarding 500 carcasses being discovered, and declined to comment further.Mr Talbot, who has been buying horses for 20 years, said the animals killed on his property were euthanased by a licensed shooter to provide pet food for his 10 dogs."I've got facilities at home. We've got a proper restraining box where they're euthanased humanely and then there is a cool room on the premises where they're put into.
