A huge amount of fly-tipping was left outside Council offices over the weekend, which is causing a stir amongst the community.
Some three wagons were called in to clear a monstrous pile of fly-tipped waste dumped right outside Lancashire council offices.
According to residents, the waste could be seen at the site off the A681 Newchurch Road on Friday morning and was moved the next day. Ste Morrison lives near where the fly-tipping was located.Ste told LancsLive: "It was building site waste, with rubble and whatnot. It even had one of those shoots in there, which you can attach to scaffolds to put things into a skip.At the end of where the rubbish was left is Stubblylee Lane, which is home to multiple houses and farms near the quarry.
"They would have had to go all the way round because of the waste." Not only is the location of the fly-tipping right outside Rossendale Borough Council, but it is also home to a manufacturing facility for Orthoplastics and a children's nursery - Bright Futures Early Learning nursery school.
