One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has unleashed on Australia’s energy system calling it an “absolute disgrace” while advocating for nuclear and coal power.
The Queensland Senator was fired up on Wednesday as she voiced her concerns about the rising cost of energy during a fiery Sky News Australia interview with Chris Kenny.
“I looked at my electricity price the other day. I had to pay my bill. It's gone up more than double in the last two years” Ms Hanson said. Senator Hanson has cited the rising cost of energy as a major reason the country should employ nuclear energy while keeping coal-fired power stations open. Picture: Sky News Australia.
The Albanese government has entirely rejected the prospect of nuclear power in Australia citing challenges around storage of radioactive waste and community health risks.
