Two suspected Walnut Creek burglars were arrested Sunday after a vehicle pursuit to Orinda.
WALNUT CREEK — A pair of suspected burglars were arrested Sunday after a freeway chase and a ground and air search in Orinda where they crashed, police said.
As the man was calling Walnut Creek police to provide a description of the men and their vehicle, an officer in the area saw the car and attempted unsuccessfully to stop it. A records check showed the vehicle had been stolen earlier in the day in Richmond, police said. But as officers exited the freeway at Wilder Road in Orinda, they saw that the suspects’ vehicle had driven off the roadway and the suspects had run away into the hillsides of the Siesta Valley Recreation Area.
