Walt Secord steps down from Labor front bench amid bullying allegations | Rabe9
“I fully support the Broderick review and the change it will hopefully lead to. But my remaining in the shadow ministry at this time has become a distraction from these major revelations and the important work that needs to be done,” Secord said in the statement.
“It became clear over the weekend that many colleagues had concerns about Mr Secord’s behaviour. After talking with Mr Secord, a decision was made for him to step down from the NSW frontbench to allow for an investigation to take place,” Minns said.“I’ll be encouraging them to make a complaint either through the parliamentary processes or the NSW Labor Party’s processes, but I expect formal complaints will come and as a result of that an inquiry will, of course, be staged.
“I can’t specifically recollect them, but I can say with certainty, no one has said ‘I want this dealt with, I want a mediation, I want to make a formal complaint.’ ”
