United States President Donald Trump has claimed Democratic nominee Joe Biden and rioters “are both on the side of the radical Left”. As Black Lives Matter protests and riots continue in many American states ahead of the November election, the President accused Mr Biden of blaming police and law enforcement for the violence and anarchy playing out in Democrat cities.
“For months Joe Biden has given moral aid and comfort to the vandals, repeating the monstrous lie that these were peaceful protests,” he said. “They keep using the term ‘peaceful protest’ … and behind the reporters, cities are burning”. The President said the solution to the violence was to allow federal troops to shut down protests, jail lawbreakers and support law enforcement officers.
