Warm and breezy ahead of storm chances tonight

The forecast high for Tuesday was 98° with sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 90s expected for the rest of the week. This final week of summer will be on the warm side with highs in the 90s. These numbers are well above normal for mid/late September .
Higher humidity and a disturbance from the west will bring a chance of thunderstorms by Tuesday night. Some of these could be severe with a threat for damaging winds and hail. A few showers may linger into early Wednesday, but the bulk of Wednesday will be dry.Another brief chance of thunderstorms may return early in the weekend. Fall officially begins Saturday.
