Shane Warne's wild call as David Warner unleashes.
Warner and Steve Smith are expected to walk back into the Australian Test and ODI teams after their suspension for ball tampering expires but Spin King Shane Warne has made a bold prediction, declaring the left-hander will do far more than just make up the numbers at the World Cup this year.
Warne believes the year-long ban will serve as a catalyst for Warner and Smith to go to another level upon their return, backing them to come back hungrier than ever for success. Warner will likely slot straight back into the side at the top of the order, but Khawaja has ensured life won’t be easy for coach Justin Langer and selectors. The left-hander, promoted to open in the five-match ODI series, has scored 192 runs at 64.
