Mr McKenzie said the common residential pool is also a great source of water for snakes and other Australian wildlife as the weather heats up. "It's important that families be vigilant when swimming in their pool and understand that often can't get back out once they are in," he said. As much as they may look like they are struggling, Mr McKenzie said it is important to call in a professional to safely get the snake out the pool rather than trying to fish it out yourself.
